Dear Patron of the Hispanic Culture:

On March 31-April 2, 2006, the Texas Association for Hispanic Dance and Culture will host the most exciting folklórico event in the United States, the 15th Annual Folklórico Festival of Texas in Dallas.  Please consider supporting the efforts of (Name of your organization) to attend this fantastic cultural celebration by placing an advertisement in the Souvenir Program. Our organization needs raise $________ to make our participation possible.
 

In addition to helping our organization your advertisement will help maintain authentic Mexican traditions and to provide the highest quality of instruction to the youth of Texas. Sponsorship categories range from $5,000 to $10. We need your support to host over 1,000 dancers, 500 competition entries, and 83 hours of activities. The Folklórico Festival of North Texas will present:

¨      An evening of spectacular entertainment, La Gran Competencia  featuring five of the best folklórico groups in the USA

¨     Seven hours of workshops with two maestros de Mexico  

¨     Seven hours of free workshops for beginner students and teachers

¨   Fifteen  Free Showcase Performances

¨    Separate Public School and Non-profit/Private Studio Competitions

¨      Afro-Latino and Latin Pop Categories to include students and groups who do not have access to folklórico instruction

¨      An evening of Senior Cuadro Competitions (Suites of Dances presented by high school students) adjudicated by maestros de Mexico

¨     Provide role models for students by hosting the College University Folklórico Groups

¨      Present over 100 trophies and  a $300 Scholarship Award to a deserving student with talent and high academic achievement

Fifty percent of sponsor funds will go towards helping students participate in this worthwhile cultural event and the other 50% will go towards awards and production cost of the festival.  All business sponsors purchasing a ½ page advertisement ($100) or larger may set up a booth at the festival at no charge.  Deadline for sponsors and contests awards is January 31^st.
