Jaime GuerreroHernandez, nace en Linares, Nuevo Leon el 5 de Septiembre de 1952; Obtiene el titulo de Maestro en Educacion Basica, en Junio de 1972. Desde muy joven incurciona en el campo de la Danza Folklorika mostrndo gran interes por la documetacion, tiene la oportunidad de formarse bajo la tutela del mas distinguido folklorista de Nuevo Leon; el Maestro Jesus Daniel Andrade Gonzalez. Es Socio Fundador del Instituto de Investigacion y Difucion de la Danza Folklorika Mexicana, A.C. (1972). En Julio de 1980 fue Instructor de Baile de la Region Central de Nuevo Leon en el VII Festival de la Asociacion Nacional de Grupos Folkloricos (A.N.G.F.). En Febrero de 1981, funda el Ballet Folklorico Magistrial de la Seccion 21 del S.N.T.E. Obtiene el nombramiento de Delegado Estatal de Nuevo Leon de la Asosiacion Nacional de Mestros de Danza Popular Mexicana en Diciembre de 1989. De 1991 a 1993 fue Director Artistico del Ballet Folklorico Mexica de Tucson, Arizona, U.S.A. En Aril de 1993 fue instructor de Bailes Regionales de Nuevo Leon, en la XI Conferencia Internacional de Mariachi en Tucson, Arizona, U.S.A. Con el Ballet Folklorico Magistral Nuevo Leon de la seccion 21 del S.N.T.E., ha recorrido gran parte del territorio mexicano y ha participado en eventos de relevante importancia a nivel nacional e internacional, logrando con ello unabrillante diffusion del Folklore Nuevoleones, ademas de obtener mejores criticas de los conocedores de este arte dancistico. Actualmente y Adicional mente de dirigir el Ballet Folklorico Magistral Nuevo Leon, se desempeña como Vocal de Consejo para la Cultura y las Artes de Nuevo Leon, es corografo del Festival de Folklor Internacional “Fiestas de Santa Lucia” y uno de sus proyectos actuales es la gira un Francia proyectandolo al Folklore Maxicano en innumerables ciudades de ese pais.

Isidro Salas was born on December 1, 1962 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He began his dance studies at five years of age. Dancing is very fundamental for Prof. Salas. From the very beginning of his education, he wanted to know the origin of dances, the costuming, and the stories behind the traditions. At a very young age he became interested in the Danza Folklórico Mexicana. He studied in La Casa De La Cultura De Monterrey, N.L. and in the Escuela Superior de Música y Danza Carmen Romano also in Monterrey, N.L.

He founded Ballet Folklórico Coyoacan, He was a dancer and director of the Department of Public Relations del Ballet Estampas Mexicanas de La S.E.P. He was also the dancer and Director of the Department of Public Relations for Ballet Folklórico Magisterial N.L.

Some of his teachers include Daniel Andrade, Baldemar Gutierrez y Jaime Guerrero MTY N.L., Miguel Velez Arceo Jalapa, Veracruz, Prof. Zamarripa Universidad de Colima, and Prof. Silvia Lozano del Ballet Folklorico Nacional de Mexico. He studied courses in scene design, choreography, music, Didácticos Escénicos, and Vida Indígena, He has been an active member of the Instituto de Investigación y Difusión de la Danza Mexicana. He received his certification from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon y del Instituto de Investigación y Difusión de La Danza Mexicana A.C. He has been recognized by different art institutions including Congresos Realizados en Mexico por de IIYDMAC and the Institute of Hispanic Culture in Houston, Texas. He is the currently the founder and general director of the 44 member company, La Compañia Folklórica Alegria Mexican in Houston, Texas.

Rodolfo Hernandez G. was born inCuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, where he attended elementary school. His mother a flamenco dancer instilled in him a great love for dance. This led him to develop as a dancer and teacher. Rodolfo graduated from Teacher’s College in Chihuahua with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. While pursuing his degree he participated in the Active Dance Group. During his college years he wrote and directed a theatrical piece titled “Adolescenia.” He also choreographed a work called “Revolutionaries” which he presented in the Chihuahua Sierra Madre. His academic degree in Mexican history fueled his love for art and community involvement.

For ten years he taught in the Sierra Tarahumara, home of the ancient Tarahumara Indians. He later moved back to his hometown and started his participation and involvement with several ballet folklórico organizations, including popular Raramuri and university ballets. With a degree in Directing and Choreography from the Chihuahua University Department of Fine Arts, he once more returned to Cuidiad Juarez to direct the Juarez University Ballet Folkórico. He eventually took the troupe to their first performance tours. While participating as a guest dancer for the Cuidad Juarez Ballet Folklórico, he began his studies of the customs and folklore of the indigenous people of Mexico. Several distinguished teachers influenced and directed his efforts and training, notably: Patricia Carrillo, Sergio Carrera, Lino Arredondo, Maestro Huemantzin Lopez, Maestro Francisco Flores, Maestro Rafael Vega España, Maestro Antonio Rubio, Profesora Socorro Chapa, Senora Amalia Hernandez and Maestro Rafael Zamarripa.

Ramiro Loera Gonzalez inicio sus estudios a los 5 anos de edad en la Academia de Danza Folklórica del Estado de Tamaulipas, bajo la tutela del Profesor José Gilberto Limas Sánchez. Entre las edades de nueve y doce, el Maestro Loera represento a su ciudad natal Río Bravo, Tamaulipas en los campeonatos nacionales de danza Folklórica auspiciado por el D.I.F. Durante ese periodo, el Grupo Infantil en el cual el Maestro Loera formo parte, llego a obtener 4 títulos regionales, 3 estatales y 2 nacionales. A los 15 anos, el Maestro Loera fue asignado como asistente de coreógrafo del Grupo Folklórico Infantil de Río Bravo, función que fungió por tres anos. A los 16 anos recibió beca de estudios en la Escuela de Danza para Maestros de Tamaulipas. - 1989 el Maestro Loera recibió su titulo folklorista y educación fiscal. - 1990 gradúa de Nuevo Laredo City College como Ejecutivo Bilingüe. - 1991 se traslada a los Estados Unidos (Corpus Christi, Tx.) -1993 forma parte del elenco de Festival Folklórico en FiestaTexas Theme Park. - 1994 LULAC lo reconoce como el mejor instructor del concurso "Feria de lasFolres”. - 1994 funge como jurado calificador en la 9na. Competencia Regional Norte-Centro de Danza Folklórica celebrada en Cd. Río Bravo, Tamaulipas. - 1995 colabora con el Ballet Folklórico Nacional de Zacatecas del Prof. José Vaquera- 1996 colabora con el Ballet Folklórico de la Universidad de Colima del Prof. Rafael Zamarripa. - 1997 funda el Ballet Folklórico Viva Mexico de Corpus Christi, Tx. - 1998 obtiene los mas altos honores en las competencias de Dallas, San Marcos y Lubbock Tx. - 1999 obtiene los mas altos honores en las competencias de Dallas y San Marcos. - 1999 funge como jurado calificado en la 1er. Competencia Folklórica del Mar de Corpus Christi. - 2000 lleva de gira por el Estado de Zacatecas al Ballet Folklórico Viva Mexico. - 2000 obtiene los mas altos honores en la competencia de Corpus Christi, Tx. - 2001 se traslada a Denver, CO. Iniciando el Grupo Folklórico Infantil Viva Mexico.- 2002 el Centro Cultural Mexicano de Denver reconoce al Grupo Folklórico Infantil Viva Mexico como el mejor grupo de danza del Estado de Colorado.- 2003 obtiene los mas altos honores en la categoría infantil en la competencia Viva Aztlan de Lubbock, Tx.

Eugenio Guzman Nacido en Reynosa Tamaulipas. En 1983 a los quince años Inicie mi estudios de folklor
mexicano con el grupo llamado "MAYA" En Houston Tx. Bajo la direccion del maestro Rafael Ventura. En 1984 - 1992
empese mi dedicacion al la danza con el Grupo folklorico "ZAPATA" Bajo la direccion de Rick Zerrata y Miguel Ponce. Aqui vi y estudie la tecnica del folkor mediante talleres de trabajo otorgados por maestros reconocidos de mexico y directores del mismo grupo folklorico. Biajamos por partes del estado de mexico y estados unidos. El grupo fue invitado y participo en las aperturas de las olimpiadas de 1986 y en 1988 fui invitado para bailar para el expresidente Bush. En 1993 - 1996 participe en la produccion de Fiesta Texas de San Antonio Tx. Titulado "FESTIVAL FOLKLORICO" En el cual desempeñe mi trabajo de bailarin y al mismo tiempo el conocimiento de esenografia y utileria. En esta misma ciudad ingrese como bailarin y asistente de maestro de la compañia de folklor "MEXICAPAN" bajo la direccion del maestro Miguel Ponce Y Jaime Jimenez. Con este grupo alcanze un primero lugar como mejor bailarin de la compañia. He asistido a competencias en casi todo el estado de Texas obetinendo primeros lugares con grupos reconocidos de los estados unidos. Presentemente soy asistente artistico del distinguido director Isidro Salas de la "COMPAÑIA FOLKLORICA ALEGRIA MEXICANA" Obteniendo asi tambien primeros lugares y vecas para estudiantes. Con 21 años de danza y folklor siento que mi experiensia es minima comparada con el rico y colorido folklor Mexicano. Mi aspirasion es de seguir otorgando las raizes y costumbres de Mexico por parte de la danza y folklor mexicano.

Thelma Beatriz Moreno I was introduced to Mexican Folklore when I attended an event held by Grupo Aztlan at the Houston Public Library in 1981. I was inspired to learn after watching Grupo Aztlan demonstrate with whom I began my profession. Later, I joined Grupo Zapata where I learned dances from Veracruz, Jalisco, San Luis Potosi, under the Instruction of Rick Serrata, Carlos Alatorre and Miguel Ponce.I was fortunate enough to perform with Zapata in such places as U.S. Olympic Festival in Houston, The Economic Summit, National Mayor Convention, National Republican Convention Rio Bravo Monterrey and Nuevo Leon Republic of Mexico. In the summer of 1994, I joined Guadalupe Dance Company under the instruction of Miguel Ponce performing at many festivals and events such as the XV Annual Tejano Awards held in San Antonio. While with Guadalupe Dance Company I took instruction in dance and scenery with Maestro Jaime Guerrero and learned dances from the state of Colima from Maestro Zamarripa. I also had the opportunity to be a performer at Fiesta Texas Theme Park in San Antonio in the Teatro Zaragoza for two years under the direction of dance instructor Sergio Martinez. My responsibilities included dancing, singing and acting. Other areas in my profession include being a folklore dance instructor at Rodriguez Dance Company in Houston. In the year 2000, while in Houston I became a member of Compañia Alegria Folklórica Mexicana under the instruction of Maestro Isidro Salas. As a member of the Company I am an advisor and assist with dance instruction and utilization of costumes. Overall, I have about 23 years of experience and it would be a great honor to serve as a judge for Texas Association for Hispanic Dance and Culture

Juan Manuel Orona, was born in Coahuila, Mexico. He studied four years with Rafael Molina a well-known and recognized dancer of flamenco & Mexican Folklore in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was a member of the professional Ballet Folklórico of La Secretaria de Educación y Cultura (Department of Education and Culture) of Nuevo Leon for eight years and he served as Director of Cultural Programs in Fray Bartolomé de las Casas College for four years. He represented the State of Nuevo Leon at the National Contest of Folklórico Dances in Mexico City for six years. He and his company have made appearances on Channel 19. He is currently a Folklórico Teacher with the Farmers Branch I.S.D. He is also working with private professional group” Danzas de Mexico” Ballet Folklórico in Irving, and teaching intermediate and advance level classes.

Emma Ramos has been a part of the Ballet Folklórico de San Antonio since 1969. She has served on the board to the San Antonio company in every capacity including president. She is presently the executive director of the Ballet Folklórico de San Antonio. She has served on the peer review panel for the Texas Commission on the Arts. She organized the first Texas Dance Invitational Folk Dance Festival in San Antonio in 1986.

Jessica Cano began studying Mexican folklórico dance at Sidney Lanier Elementary. In 1979, she joined the Ballet Folklórico de Anita N. Martinez Recreation Center in West Dallas. In 1984, she became one of the original members of the Ballet Folklórico Hispano de Dallas. Jessica attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts. She studied in Mexico City with the Amalia Hernandez Ballet Folklórico and with the Mizoc Institute during the summer of 1987. While a student at Texas Woman’s University she toured with the International Folk Dance Ensemble. Jessica has been a judge for our festival since the days when the festival was hosted at W. E. Greiner Middle School. Congratulations to Jessica Cano a senior at TWU soon to graduate with a dance degree and a teacher certification in Dance.

Rick Treviño is currently lead instructor of the Dance Institute at the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College where he teaches ballet, tap, jazz, folklórico and ballroom. Additionally Mr. Treviño is also a Dance Consultant at Clearwarer and Sharp Elementary Schools in Brownsville where he teaches drill dance, folklórico and musical theater.
