 Instituto Mazatlan Bellas Artes de Sacramento's (IMBA) Performing Company, a Non-profit 501C3 corporation founded in 1994,  is committed to presenting the very best in folklórico. The company received international recognition performing in 2001 in Xalapa Veracruz for "Festival de Folklore" hosted by world-renowned Ballet Folclorico de la Universidad Veracruzana and at "Escencia de Mexico"  and the international folkloric dance competition hosted by the world famous Amailia Hernandez Academy of Dance. In 2005, IMBA represented Mexico in Beijing's International Cultural Tourism Festival. IMBA has also been invited to tour Mongolia for the 2006 International Folk Festival Mongoliahas  IMBA has performed for such major artist as Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan, Pablo Montero, Nydia Rojas, and Geraldo Fernandez.. IMBA  has headlined many of California's fairs and festivals including California State Fair Sacramento, El Dorado County Fair, Glenne County Fair, Galt Fair, Dixon May Fair, Santa Rosa County Fair, and Festival de la Familia. In addition IMBA was chosen to perform at the prestigious San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival to be held at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. IMBA  and Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Co from Los Angeles are working on a large production called “Corazon de Mexico” to be performed  July 29th 2006 at the beautiful Sacramento Community Center Theater. Norahua Mexican Folkloric Dancers of Oklahoma

 Norahua significa “amigos” en dialecto Tarahumara de los indios de Cihuahua, Mexico.

El grupo Norahua se fundó el 24 de enero de 1994.  Iniciado solamente con 14 integrantes, hoy en la actualidad son mas de 50 bailarines de la edad de 6 años y adelante. Mi proposito como maestro es seguir enseñando a las nuevas generaciónes nuestra cultura y nuestras raizes y costumbres dentro del folklor mexicano.  Bailes y danzas asi como los diferentes vestuarios que identifican a cada estado de nuestra republica mexicana. Jaime Fuentes estudió en la Escuela Superior de Danza Folklorica Mexicana del estado de Chihuahua, 1987-1991.

With more than 30 years of experience as dancers, instructors, choreographers and directors, Alex and Mary Palencia bring a wealth of professional experience to Mexico 2000 performances. During the past six years Mexico 2000 has presented more than 350 performances, won over 150 awards and received special recognitions for their community service. Mexico 2000 has received proclamations by Mayor Laura Miller, City of Dallas, and by Mayor Bob Day ,City of Garland who proclaimed the month of September 2005 as “México 2000 Ballet Folklorico Month”  Mexico 2000 feels proud of these distinctions and committed to serving the Metroplex with authentic dance presentations. 

 Audiences can count on presentations that are fast-paced featuring two to five different dance regions. From the hot and humid climate in the southeast, to the traditional northern dances with Czechoslovakian, Polish and French influences Mexico 2000 presents colorful cultural performances.

Mexico 2000 has provided performances for programs like: City of Dallas Neighborhood Touring Program, Young Audiences of North Texas, Texas Commission on the Arts Company Touring Roster. The company has also provided credit courses and after school programs for the Dallas, Garland, Irving and Richardson School Districts. Mexico 2000 hase presented dance workshops for dance companies and dance conferences in: Dallas, Denton, Irving, Garland, Oklahoma City, Richardson, Guymon, Denver, Goodwill and Sacramento among others.
